FEMTI FEM

With : Mélanie BRELAUD // Chloé CHAUMERON // Clémence LENOËL // Coline GENE

These are the 55 strings of this quartet, played by four musicians from different backgrounds, but united by the same passion: the traditional music of northern Europe. They offer compositions and arrangements of traditional tunes, often for dancing, drawing their inspiration from baroque and classical aesthetics. Often unknown, this music transports us to cold and majestic regions. Soft, spatial, but also surprising and energetic, the colors of Femti Fem alternate to create a journey, punctuated with surprises and rich in landscapes, embellished with intoxicating vocal polyphonies. During the concert, contact with the audience and explanations are mixed with the music: the quartet likes to transmit the subtleties of the repertoire and specific instruments (the Swedish nyckelharpa and the Norwegian hardingfele), or tell stories and other Nordic legends… To be won over, you just have to be curious, dare to travel, and push open the door.
