with : Marion PURPLE
WHERE : Tapis Volant Room 6
WHEN : Sunday 13h – 15h

Description: With the arrival of a new audience on the dance floor, who aren’t always aware of the “group” dynamic at dances, this workshop helps participants become more conscious of their place within the dance and, through various dance exercises, refine their role. Listening to the music is also addressed throughout the workshop.
The workshop continues to foster awareness of the presence of all the dancers on the floor AND the band. Different themes are explored through fun activities to better understand space, dance setup, and listening to oneself and others.
- Movement on the dance floor
- Enjoying a full dance floor
- Setting up and understanding space in group dances
Prerequisite level: Familiarity with the steps of classic dances (Scottish, Waltz, Circle, Chapelloise, etc.)
Biography: I was raised on traditional Breton music. I discovered the world of folk dances in 2010 and immersed myself in it with delight. Since 2017, I have been teaching folk dances in a weekly workshop in Rennes. I find great joy in sharing and promoting traditional dances. My training as a psychologist/educational psychologist, combined with my passion for dance, allows me to offer workshops adapted to diverse audiences in a fun, educational, and cheerful atmosphere!
