In nearly ten years and with two albums under their belt, Fleuves has become a leading voice in the new Breton music scene.
The trio has successfully integrated electronic music and jazz/rock influences with the rich Breton cultural heritage to create a grounded sound that is open to the world and always connected to dance. The group thus offers a fresh perspective on this trance-like culture, a unique and festive collective experience/performance that is both solemn and vibrant.
Behind the appearance of a local culture that some might call “Breton folklore,” Fleuves is in fact a laboratory of music and dance that has forged its own path, free from conformity yet mindful of the shared experience. After ten years, Fleuves has sold several thousand albums and garnered millions of streams. The group has performed on numerous stages across hundreds of dates, including the Interceltic Festival of Lorient, Jazz à Vienne, the Transmusicales in Rennes, and Celtic Connection in Glasgow, and has been featured on FIP, Radio Nova, France Culture, and other radio stations.
Following two acclaimed albums, #1 in 2016 and #2 in 2019, a new album was released in October 2024 on the Airfono label.
